It is very easy to cause concrete cracking if the construction or maintenance are not done correctly. What are then the five main causes of cracking concrete?
1. The cement proportion problem: Some workers in construction will add more water for a more fluid concrete. However, this will result in an increase in water-cement ratio. This will cause the concrete to harden too quickly, and lead to cracking.
2. Transport and mixing issues: If mixing and transporting concrete takes too much time, the water in the concrete will evaporate quickly.
concrete
. This leads to a concrete that is weaker on the construction site, unable to meet construction specifications.
3. Construction speed
4. Maintenance is unreasonable. During the period of maintenance, if late watering isn't maintained, the result will be the
Cracking phenomenon
Later in the year, concrete will be used. Concrete is used in later stages of the
Concrete Surface Watering
You can water the concrete often to speed up the drying process. Concrete will shrink if it is not watered. Late cracking occurs when concrete strength is decreased.
5. Environmental factors: If the environment at the construction site is relatively dry and there is high temperature, wind, or both, then the evaporation rates of the concrete are accelerated. This results in cracking on the concrete's surface. Concrete constructions are most likely to crack in summer and winter due to the temperature differences.
Add a crack-preventing agent. A variety of inorganic composite materials can prevent the foam concrete from cracking by more than 80%. Add 2-3 kilograms of anti-cracking material per cubic meter.
